Exhibition: “Under the Surface”

I’m honored to share that three of my pieces will be featured in Under the Surface, a beautiful group exhibition at the Visual Arts Center alongside many talented artists.
 

This exhibition explores the idea of layers — both the physical layers created through artistic process and the deeper emotional, energetic, and metaphysical layers that exist beneath what we see on the surface. It’s a theme that deeply resonates with my work and creative journey as The Spiritual Artist.

Organic Abstractions by Patti Wilson
(January 9 - February 28, 2026)
 

After relocating from Canada to Florida eleven years ago, she found herself deeply moved by the vivid new landscapes and light—a shift that stirred a long-dormant desire to express gratitude through art. Despite failing an eighth-grade art class and subsequently avoiding artistic pursuits for over twenty-five years, her creative journey was unexpectedly rekindled at an art therapy retreat in France. It wasn’t until retirement that she fully embraced her artistic path, enrolling in her first formal art class at the Alliance for the Arts, where she studied the impressionistic style of Gale Bennett.

Patti Wilson’s piece TRUST will be on display in the upcoming exhibition Anything Is Possible at the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda, Florida.

This multidisciplinary exhibit explores imagination, transformation, and the power to move beyond perceived limits—personal, societal, and creative. Through a diverse range of artistic expression, the show invites viewers to reflect, expand, and envision new possibilities.
